Playful People is positive, inclusive, family theatre

Positive: We focus on the process, not only the outcome. We’re more interested in providing a fulfilling artistic and educational experience for everyone, and less concerned with creating the most technically perfect performances. (But our performances are still pretty great!)
Inclusive: Most of our shows and other experiences are open to all, regardless of ability, experience, age, or income level. This includes “Kids” and “Junior” versions of musicals as well as full-length Broadway classics such as The Music Man and Fiddler on the Roof, with live music!
Family: We love families, and our experiences are tailored for all ages and interests. We have something for everyone, from performance to technical roles to general support. Many families have several members participating in our shows. Our recent run of The Music Man included families that had three generations in the cast!
Theatre: We do real theatre – all aspects: acting, singing, movement, sound, lighting, direction, stage management, set design and building, costume design, prop design, and everything else. We train our participants in all these roles and more.
