Radio Show Workshop
Write and Perform an Original!
8 Session Workshop
Find your inner voice as a creative artist in a program geared for those who would like to learn the art of playwriting and voice acting for the radio. In this class you will write a radio play in a creative environment where you are encouraged to say whatever pops into your head. You will also use your other talents like acting, singing, playing a musical instrument, stand-up comedy, improv, speech and debate, and any of the other performing arts that can be incorporated into an original radio play of your creation through collaboration with your other classmates.

Explore ideas for your radio play from a variety of source materials that interest you. Maybe your idea for a radio play is inspired from Greek Mythology, Shakespeare, or Classic Fairy Tales, or your own personal experiences. Whatever the source material, if this sounds like something you’re aching to do then this is the perfect class for you.
Taught by professional actor, writer, director, acting teacher, and adapter of Playful People’s very first full-length radio play, Romeo & Juliet: A Radio Play, Gary De Mattei will guide you through the step by step process of writing and recording a radio play that you and the other students in class create, which will also help you discover your creative voice while silencing your inner critic.
