$450 per actor
Performs May 12-14 & 19-21, 2023

Eleanor, a shy and quirky teenager, collects and obsesses over comic books, especially the series called Starmites!  Unbeknownst to her, she holds the key to defeating the arch nemesis of innerspace – Shaak Graa.  When she is suddenly transported into her favorite comic books, she must join the Starmites in their battle for Innerspace and freedom, while escaping from the wild and dangerous Banshees, and their terrifyingly fabulous queen, Diva.

AUDITION DATES AND REQUIREMENTS

Open to Ages 11+

All auditions will be held in person at the Historic Hoover Theater studios.

AUDITION DATES:
Saturday, February 18, between 2:00-8:00 pm
Sunday, February 19, between 12:00-8:00 pm

HOW TO AUDITION

Auditions will be 2 hours total, and in small groups. The initial audition will be vocal and acting with director Lysander Abadia, and then participants will spend time learning and auditioning a dance routine with Emily Pennington.

Actors should arrive prepared to sing 16 bars of any musical theater song that shows off their voice (yes, really, only 16 measures– do your best), and provide recorded backing tracks for their song (NO lyrics, music only – karaoke tracks can be great for this).

They should expect to do some cold reading from the script and possibly some other acting exercises. They should come in comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement.

REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES

This does NOT mean that all actors will be called every day each week.  Any conflicts (standing appointments, trips, etc.) need to be noted in the “conflicts” area of registration. A full rehearsal schedule will be provided after casting that will tell which actors are rehearsing on what day.

REHEARSALS:

Begin in March 6, 2023

Note:  ALL participants must be available every day of tech week: May 8 – 11, and May 15-18, 2023

Rehearsals will be Monday – Thursday, and some Saturdays TBD

The youth/teen casts will rehearse weekdays from 4:30-7:00pm

The family/adult cast will rehearse weeknights from 7:00-9:00pm

Saturday rehearsals typically between 1:00-5:00pm, actual times for each cast TBD. Keep this time frame flexible, as the final times will be confirmed by the director with the rehearsal schedule.

PERFORMANCES:

May 12-14 and 19-21, 2023
