Summer Stock Intensive

Full production, July 11 – 31, 2022
Ages 14+

The Play That Goes Wrong follows the antics of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, who are trying their very best to stage a production of a 1920s murder mystery. As the show’s title might suggest, this is not as easy as it sounds with everything that can go wrong doing just that! This small cast of 8 characters will try their best to perform, while props go missing, actors forget lines, and hilarious disaster ensues when the cast starts to crack under the pressure.

This is the one-act version of the hit 2012 production that opened in the UK. Run time is 75 minutes, which is good, as we only have 3 weeks of rehearsal! Join Playful People Artistic Director Katie D’Arcey for a summer stock production for teens and adults that will perform on the Hoover stage July 29th-31st. With a small cast, everyone gets a lead, and there will be multiple casts!

Join us for this fun and hilarious production!
